Hi there, Sorry I have been so slack in posting lately .. I have been busy with Christmas Mini-sessions and getting ready for our move back to Australia .... mostly though because I am hopefully giving the blog a face lift !! :)

Its not often I take my Sigma 10-20mm to a family photoshoot, but I am glad I did this day. I walked into the condo and saw this huge beautiful tree .. perfect for kids in the tree :)

This leaving do was at the Pool Bar at the Hilton Hotel ! I found the night setting and all the different light sources really difficult to deal with ... anyway ... still had fun :)

I loved this venue ! ... one of the first jobs where I could use the Sigma 10-20mm wide angle lens, the effect even with the distortion looked great on the climbing rocks .. This was a 9th birthday at Camp5, here in KL ...

People often ask how did you get into taking floral photographs, well it was a strange journey and I am pretty sure the starting point was a girl named Helen or she is better known as 'geisha'. When I arrived in Malaysia I felt pretty isolated, the kids were settled into school and Rob was at work with a ready made set of friends. I needed some contact with Australia and it came in the way of a magazine that I had subscribed to, Notebook. Through the forums, which was a life saver at the time, I meet Helen, and she showed us some amazing photographs with her little point and shoot camera .... from there it all just fell into place. I bought myself a newer flashier point and shoot, and because I hated going outside in this oppressive tropical heat the flowers came to me in the way of our local floral warehouse ... the rest they say ... is history. I have many floral images available for sale on Redbubble, a fantastic artist community. SO HERE IS MY LINK TO REDBUBBLE

... and secondly was the cover for Expatriate Lifestyle, this magazine gets a readership of around 100,000 so it was very very exciting. Whenever we went into Coffee Bean/Starbucks/Dome we would look for the magazine ... it was a bit of a rush to see. The best time was with mum and dad, we had gone to Penang for the weekend and went to Dome for lunch and there on their rack was probably 15 copies of the magazine all lined up !!!! .... couldn't help but take a photo of it .....

July 08 ... I have been working with an amazing photographer and she left KL for the summer break, so lucky me ... she let me do the BONDA Cover for IBU. IBU is a centre for young families, playgroups, support groups, activites and BONDA is their monthly magazine.

April Cover for MANZA ... it was supposed to be a mens/technology issue, I found the brief so hard, and must of taken a thousand shots just to get this one ... lol ... some liked it, some didn't.

So lucky ... a photograph I took in the Orangutan Sanctuary in Sabah East Borneo, was used on the cover of MANZA (Malaysian Australian and New Zealand Association)
